As part of its commitment to strengthening academic quality and global competitiveness among students, STAIMS Yogyakarta organized a student workshop entitled “Student Acceleration in International Research and Reputable Publications” on Tuesday, June 2, 2026*.
Held from 08.30 to 11.30 WIB, the workshop featured international speaker Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suyatno Ladiqi, M.A., Ph.D from UniSZA Malaysia, who shared valuable experiences, insights, and strategies regarding student engagement in international research and reputable academic publications.
The workshop aimed to encourage students to become more active in academic research, improve their scientific writing skills, and better understand opportunities for international research collaboration. During the session, the speaker explained strategies for developing a strong research culture among students, techniques for writing quality academic papers, pathways to publishing in reputable journals, and the importance of building global academic networks.
Participants enthusiastically engaged in discussions and question-and-answer sessions, raising various topics related to research, international journal publications, and challenges faced by students in producing scholarly work. The event created an inspiring and interactive academic atmosphere.
Through this workshop, STAIMS Yogyakarta hopes to motivate students to actively engage in research, produce high-quality academic work, and strengthen their readiness to compete at national and international levels through reputable academic publications.
